Set notification email addresses separate from admin users
As it is, only the email address configured for the user that starts the WIM generation process, will be notified of its progress. It would make more sense to specify multiple email addresses to send notifications to. Use case: If I start the image process today at end of day, and I’m not in the office the next day, nobody will follow up.
Typo in application installation status
Using the (awesome!) OSDEnableOSDMessage script, each application is listed as Successfull, which has a typo and should be Succesful with a single L. I looked for it in the script and figured out it gets the status from “HKLM:\Software\_Custom\Apps” . So you’d have to fix that typo in the backend code.
Allow WIM generation schedule offset
The current schedule for automatic WIM generation only allows for 1st, 2nd … Monday, Tuesday … of the month. Patch Tuesday release is on the 2nd Tuesday, but usually updates don’t arrive until late in our West-Europe timezone. I would suggest to have the option to use an offset, as in ConfigMgr. I would like to select 2nd Tuesday of the month +1 day.
Distribute generated WIM through Azure Storage blobs or similar to different Azure regions
It would be useful to have the generated WIM replicated across Azure regions, so it can be downloaded directly from the nearest Azure region. This takes the trouble and effort of content distribution away from the customer.
Stop image creation
Add the possibility to stop an image creation task. If I see, thats my image is not created after 4 hours, that I can stop and check everthing. Maybe you can add then some addtional informastions like a log or scrrenshot in a mail and send this.
Uninstall Metro Apps and Install/Uninstall Windows Features
I would like to have the possibilities to select the features, and not add manaully. But maybe its easyer for the first version, that you can check for allowed values depend on the selected OS, when I save an image.
